to your AI assistant.

Ask about your shop floor from the AI assistant you already use. You sign in with your Offsight login, the assistant sees only what your role allows, and every change asks you first.

How to connect

Two minutes, with the login you already have.

You need an Offsight account. Nothing is installed, and no API key is involved. Any assistant that supports MCP connectors works; here is how in the two most common.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Apps in ChatGPT and search for Offsight. On a Business or Enterprise workspace, your ChatGPT admin may need to enable it first.
  2. Choose Connect. Offsight’s sign-in page opens.
  3. Sign in and allow access, as described below.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Offsight and enter the URL https://mcp.offsight.com/mcp.
  3. Choose Connect, then sign in and allow access.

Signing in

  1. The page at mcp.offsight.com is Offsight’s own. It names the assistant asking to connect and lists what it is asking for.
  2. Sign in with your Offsight username and password. If your account uses two-step verification, enter the code when asked.
  3. If your login belongs to more than one Offsight account, pick the one the assistant should work in.
  4. You return to the assistant, connected.

Permissions

Two levels, and your role is the ceiling.

The sign-in page shows which level the assistant is asking for. Either way, it acts as you and can never do more than your Offsight role allows.

Read

Reads your Offsight data: the Live board, products, zones, alerts, labor, materials and purchase orders. With read only, the assistant has no way to change anything.

Read and write

Also creates records and runs production steps. Before any change, the assistant asks you for every required value instead of guessing it, shows you what it will do, and waits for your approval.

Example prompts.

Use your own names for things. If your account calls zones “Stations”, ask about Stations.

  • “What’s on my Offsight Live board right now, grouped by zone?”
  • “Which products are in the Framing zone?”
  • “List the products that finished production last week.”
  • “Show my product types and the project each belongs to.”
  • “Who is clocked in right now, and what are they working on?”
  • “Which materials are low in inventory?”
  • “List open purchase orders from our main supplier.”
  • “Create a product called North Wall in the Smith Residence project.”

Security and privacy

What the assistant can and cannot reach.

  • Your password is entered only on Offsight’s sign-in page. The assistant never sees it.
  • The assistant works as you: same account, same permissions, same modules. It cannot reach another account or a module your role cannot see.
  • Only what a request needs is sent to the assistant, and from there it is handled under that assistant provider’s terms.
  • Every change the assistant makes is recorded in your Offsight account’s audit log.
  • Bulk deletes, sign-in, passwords, user roles and permissions are never available through an assistant.
  • Access renews automatically while you use it. A connection lasts at most 90 days before you sign in again.

Disconnecting

Remove Offsight from the assistant and its access ends: in ChatGPT under Settings → Apps, in Claude under Settings → Connectors. Your Offsight data is not affected.

Something not right?

  • A record is missing: the assistant sees what your role sees. Ask your Offsight admin about your access.
  • “Sign-in service unavailable”: try again in a minute. If it keeps happening, disconnect and connect again.
